Cruise "wave season," the prime period for discounts, is here, and two worthwhile new deals from Royal Caribbean have just ridden the surf into vacationers' wallets.
From now until January 31, Royal Caribbean is granting 60% off a second guest in the same cabin for customers who use the promo code BOGO60 during booking.

Look for the purple band reading "60% off second guest + kids sail free." Click the golden "shop now" button and the promo code will be automatically applied and a list of cruises that are available for that discount will appear.
As of January 15, the cruise departures for which you can use the 60% discount are largely for reasonably priced Caribbean or Baja itineraries. Many first-passenger fares come in around a fairly standard $100 a day, taxes and fees included.
Royal Caribbean's newer, more popular ships such as Icon of the Seas (pictured above) cost about twice as much, but the deal will still work for your roommate.
The 60% off Royal Caribbean discount is good for new bookings made until January 31, 2025. It also covers 30% off an additional guest in the same cabin, subject to that room's capacity.
Use the Kids Sail Free offer by going to royalcaribbean.com/cruise-deals and clicking the Kids Sail Free banner. Doing that will automatically populate a page with cruise departures eligible for the deal. All of them are at least 3 nights long.
Alternatively, you can enter the promo code KSF. If you're booking the Kids Sail Free promotion on your own with that code, you need to be aware of the slew of blackout dates so that you don't end up setting your heart on a departure that isn't included. Like the other offer, the Kids Sail Free deal must be booked by January 31.
Happily, the 60% off discount and the Kids Sail Free deal can be combined with each other and with other discounts to be used on the same cruise.
